Description

Character
Name: Bluekit | Bluepaw | Blueflower
Blue - For the bluish grey spots on her body.
Flower - For her overly nurturing, motherly personality.
Clan: Shadowclan
Age: 35 Moons
Rank: Medicine Cat
Gender: She-cat/Molly

Appearance details: Blueflower is a hairless, grey spotted pale-pink cat. She's got a slender frame and a longer than usual tail, not that its length helps her in any way beside balance. She's usually tsking at some warrior or another, with almost a permanently worried set to her brow. Blueflower has light blue eyes that seem to reflect the very clouds around her when she's out in the sunlight. Due to being completely hairless, she lacks whiskers or any kind of hairs on her face, giving her horrible balance. She's slightly shorter than your average tom, but makes up for her size in her agile gait.

History
chapter one.
Bluekit was born to two fully furred cats – a cream and brown tom named Acornspring and his mate, a blue pointed white she-cat named Lavenderfern. She was the only kit in her litter, and originally her parents assumed there was something wrong with her, as any cat would when their kit is born with no fur – not even the soft, fluffy kitten fur. To their horror, her fur never grew in as she got older, and they were forced to consider the idea that it never would. Her parents feared for her, even as she continued to act like any other kit would – simply because they knew if she were to become a warrior, she could be injured easily in the heat of battle. Fortunately for her worried parents, Bluekit was much more interested in the likes of herbs than the prey, and spent most of her days peeking into the medicine cat den where she could smell the various herbs. Eventually, the medicine cat, Fawndream, suggested to her parents that the best course of action would be for her to become medicine cat apprentice instead of a regular apprentice. Bluekit’s parents were relieved. If it meant their kit would be kept away from the heat of battle, they were willing to do anything.

chapter two.
When the medicine cat approached Bluekit with the chance to become a medicine cat apprentice, she was hesitant at first. Scared that she wouldn’t be able to take care of her clan the way Fawndream did. However, she and the medicine cat tom quickly formed a close bond, and Bluepaw found herself learning everything she needed to know quicker than she thought would ever be possible. She was amazed at how much she could learn, how much she could keep inside of her head. During her apprenticeship under Fawndream, one of the worst injuries the medicine cat had ever seen happened. Wildpaw was nearly torn to pieces by a coyote, and by the time the medicine cats got him, they couldn’t save much of him due to his injuries. Bluepaw almost lost it then and there. Watching the cat that she’d grown up with in so much pain, losing so much, she vowed to her mentor that she would do whatever it took to take care of her clan members. So that next time something like this happened, she would be right there to take care of the injured cat.

chapter three.
Of course, even after Blueflower obtained her full medicine cat name, she was still an apprentice under Fawndream. At this point, she had fooled herself into thinking that the tom would never die. Which of course means that was when he caught a brutal case of redcough during the winter and died within days, nothing she did helping him. She was devastated, if not just because she blamed herself for his death. Surely there was something she could have done for him. However, she knew that she had to step up to the plate and be the medicine cat that she was trained to be, if not just to keep up her vow that she made to the late tom. It was up to her now. And with her luck, of course within two months of becoming the official medicine cat of ShadowClan, the journey had begun. And it took its toll on every cat involved, and tore her heart to pieces throughout the whole ordeal because there were so many cats she couldn’t save. Upon finally arriving to their new territory, she couldn’t believe her eyes. Everything was untouched by cats or twolegs, and it was the perfect place for them. Or.. it would have been, had it not been for one terrifying realization: their ancestors weren’t with them. They were truly alone. Now, she would have to learn how to properly care for her clan, her family, without having any input from her ancestors, whether in the form of dreams or omens.

chapter four.
Shortly after settling into the Fjords, Blueflower realized one thing: she was pregnant. She'd broken the medicine code, or what was left of it -- and she would have to do what was right to fix it. She loved her mates, Beetlefur and Wildfire, with every ounce of her being. It was with this heavy heart that she informed her mates of her pregnancy -- and it was their encouragement that got her to settle into the nursery to have her kits. Luckily, her apprentice was ready to be a full medicine cat... Besides, Blueflower would still be able to teach her from the nursery until she was so big she wouldn't be able to hobble around as well. The knowledge of their ancestors no longer being present was simply too much -- how could she in good conscience be medicine cat when she was breaking their own code? They needed a cat who was dedicated in their time of need, and she knew that her apprentice would be exactly the type to be that cat.

About
Personality:

+ clear headed | compassionate | patient

clear-headed :: blueflower was blessed with the ability to be level headed in any situation, even when there’s blood everywhere and cats are in pain. she knows how important it is to be in a calm and alert state when treating cats and tries to keep as steady as possible. even as a queen, she continues to have this ability to think logically, still fully capable of helping her family through whatever happens.

compassionate :: along with generally being a caring cat, the she-cat is also compassionate as any cat could be. ever since she was a kit she was worried about other cats and trying to give any kind of help or advice that she could when she noticed they were in pain.

patient :: blueflower is unnaturally patient for a cat who has to frequently deal with warriors that almost refuse to go and work with the medicine cat. the moment she notices one of the warriors with a cough or a sniffle, she just makes a point to keep an eye on them – they all relent in the end and come to see her. and if they don’t, well, they weren’t that sick anyways.

> moralistic | maternal | whimsical

moralistic :: having strong morals tends to be a common theme for medicine cats, even if it isn’t the exact same as the warrior code. while her clan is her family and always comes first, bluefeather wouldn’t hesitate to help another member from one of the other clans if they were injured or sick and she was nearby. Just because a cat is an enemy doesn’t mean they deserve to die.

maternal :: bluefeather has always had a soft spot for the kits of the clan, but she treats the whole clan as if they were her kits. no matter how much older a younger a cat is than herself, she considers that cat to be part of her family – if not her child – and will behave as such.

whimsical :: knowing how uncomfortable most cats are with the medicine cat den, blueflower tries to make it a more fun arrangement. she’s constantly trying to crack cute jokes, or act like being in the medicine cat den is something you earn instead of something due to injury. now that she's a queen, in her mind she's already coming up with stories for her unborn kits, wanting their lives to be just as full of joy as hers.

- paranoid | clumsy | fiery

paranoid :: as a medicine cat, blueflower was already terrified of misleading her clan, through no fault of her own -- simply due to misinterpreting an omen, or missing a sign from their ancestors. now that she's stepped down from her role, her paranoia has switched to whether or not she'll be able to be a good mother, and whether she was making the right decision after all. with all of the dangers in the world, she's terrified of what might happen to her and her family.

clumsy :: due to being hairless and thus not having any whiskers, blueflower is one of the clumsiest cats around. she’s constantly misjudging how big holes are, and bumping into things due to her lack of depth perception.

fiery :: even though she’s a compassionate cat, she’s got a fiery temper. if you hurt any of her clanmates and she manages to get her paws on you, even if it’s just a play fight, you can expect to get your ears cuffed by her paws.

Likes: gathering herbs, warm weather, the smell of the forest after the rain, being surrounded by her clanmates. The taste of frog after a long day, the way her paws sink into the cool mud.
Dislikes: the smell of an infected wound, the pain in a cat’s eyes, the anger that flashes in an enemy cat’s eyes, cold days when the sun is obscured.

Other Information: she’s basically covered in peach-fuzz so she has to groom obsessively or else she gets super oily super fast.

Relationships
Orientation: Attracted to both she-cats and toms.
Looking for: Not looking. For obvious reasons.

Ideal Relationship and Traits:
a gentle cat who’s understanding of her priorities in life, a cat who puts family higher than revenge or vengeance, a cat who’s larger than her with longer fur, a cat who will let her stick her cold paws under their belly.

Mentor: Fawndream
Apprentice: tbd.
Crush: none.
Mate: Wildfire, Beetlefur
Ex-Mate/s: n/a
Kin: Acornspring (father), Lavenderfern (Mother)

ExampleClan
Wildfire | aerioi  | - Mate
"Wildfire means the world to me. I was so scared when he got hurt.. I can only hope that the three of us can protect our family from now on."
Wildfire and Blueflower are mates and thus exceptionally close -- though Blueflower feels a bit closer to him than Beetlefur sometimes due to the way they bonded when Wildfire was injured.

Beetlefur | gardenslug  | - Mate
"I'm so glad he accepts me for who I am. I was so scared when I told him and Wildfire about the kits, but I know the two of them will make excellent fathers."
Beetlefur and Blueflower are mates, and while not quite as close to him as she is with Wildfire, he's still one of the most important cats in her life. She's incredibly grateful that he wants to be part of her life.

Roleplay

Ah, the morning patrol. Gives you the long and the sh—he’s getting distracted. The patrol ended up being a total success, which was good, considering the tensions going on with WindClan at the moment. His pawpads felt frozen by the time they managed to reach the camp, which wasn’t all that surprising considering how long they’d been out. He’d almost wished they’d stopped to eat something while they were out, but all the prey they’d caught was coming back with him. A dip in the river had meant he could actually catch a pike – as small as it was, he was proud of his catch.

Unfortunately, his entire pelt was soaked from launching himself into the water after the pike. He tried to fluff himself up as much as he could, but as he walked into camp, he was still dripping. He sighed and gripped the fish tighter in his jaws, and then proceeded to immediately drop the fish at his paws, eyes widening. Oh, StarClan, he thought to himself. The cat seemed vaguely familiar, in that way that most of his clanmates did, but at the same time, Pigeondive swore he’d never seen him until this day. He stammered for a few moments, until finally he just managed to say, “I-- caught a pike.” Good job. You didn’t even answer his question, idiot.
